Passion and elegance are two things that Alejandro incorporates into every performance. Whether it is at a recital hall, a classroom, someone's living room, or at a wedding, Alejandro strives to give his audience an unforgettable musical experience.
Besides performing, Alejandro is an educator, and after having learned from some of the world's finest musicians and educators, including Rene Izquierdo, Jason Vieaux, Colin Davin and Isaac Bustos, Alejandro's patience, charisma and experience will help guide you in your musical journey.
While music had always been a part of his life, Alejandro did not begin formal music education until his sophomore year when he finally switched his major from physics to music. Shortly after, he competed for the first time and won the guitar duo category at Brownsville Ensemble Competition in 2015. Since then, Alejandro has worked committedly in his career as a professional guitarist. Alejandro won the 2019 James Stroud Competition, took fourth place at the 2019 Appalachian State Solo Guitar Competition, and has been a finalist at the 2017 and 2019 Wilson Center Guitar Competition and the 2018 Schubert Club Competition, where he received honorable mention.
He has performed at masterclasses with renowned guitarists like Alvaro Pierri, Zoran Dukic, Aniello Desiderio, Ana Vidovic, Raphaella Smits, Illiana Matos, Raphaella Smits, and Adam Holzman.
Alejandro has also collaborated with flamenco musicians, displaying great versatility with the guitar.
